ERIE, Pa. - Andrew Fritsch scored the winner in the shootout as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds beat the host Erie Otters 6-5 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Darnell Nurse scored twice for the Greyhounds (8-7-0), Nick Halagian had a goal and an assist and Colin Miller and David Broll added a single goal each.
Nick Cousins chipped in with three assists.
Connor Brown scored three times for the Otters (4-7-3) while Stephen Harper and Connor Crisp scored the others.
Matt Murray made 35 saves for the win as Oscar Dansk stopped 35 shots in a losing effort.
Sault Ste. Marie went 1-for-4 on the power play while Erie went 3-for-4.
