BARRIE, Ont. - Aaron Ekblad scored on the power play at 4:33 of overtime Thursday as the Barrie Colts edged the Brampton Battalion 2-1 in the Ontario Hockey League.

Mark Scheifele also scored for Barrie (10-3-1), which leads the Eastern Conference with 21 points.

Scheifele's goal was his 21st point of the season, moving him into first in the OHL. Steven Beyers added a pair of assists to grab the overall lead in that category with 15.

Barrie goalie Mathias Niederberger turned aside 26 shots in the win.

The top-ranked Colts' power play went 1-for-7, while Brampton finished the night at 1-for-5.

Playing for my favorite team growing up, I've probably scored that goal a million times in my driveway. It feels good to actually do it in real life.
