ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Brock Beukeboom had three assists as the Niagara IceDogs pounded the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.
Ryan Strome and Brett Ritchie both added a goal and an assist for the IceDogs, while Aaron Haydon scored his first career OHL goal. Trevor Peterson and Steven Shipley also scored Niagara (9-4-1).
Jared McCann had the lone Greyhounds (7-7-0) goal, as St. Catharines native Justin Nichols made 33 saves in the loss.
Chris Festarini turned aside 28 shots for the win.
Niagara was 1-for-5 on the power play. Sault Ste. Marie was 1-for-4.
