ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Cody Hodgson had a goal and an assist as the Rochester Americans downed the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-1 on Tuesday in American Hockey League play.

Michael Bournival was the lone scorer for Hamilton (2-2-0), as Peter Delmas stopped 29 shots.

Hodgson's goal 12:53 into the second period was the eventual winner.

Brennan's goal came on the power play, helping the Americans go 1 for 4 with the man advantage. The Bulldogs could not score on their two power plays.

Playing for my favorite team growing up, I've probably scored that goal a million times in my driveway. It feels good to actually do it in real life.
