The Canadian Press

TORONTO - Sarnia Sting forward Craig Hottot has been suspended 10 games by the Ontario Hockey League for an illegal hit on Guelph's Ryan Horvat.

Hottot hit Horvat in neutral ice in the Sting's 6-3 loss Saturday in Guelph.

Horvat left the game and Hottot was initially assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for checking to the head.

Hottot's suspension includes Sarnia's 5-3 loss to the Kitchener Rangers on Saturday, in which he didn't play.

Note to readers: This is a corrected story. An earlier version had the wrong name for the player who was hit in the head.
