Dakota Conroy scores twice as Prince Albert cruises past Swift Current 5-1

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Dakota Conroy scored twice as the Prince Albert Raiders cruised past the Swift Current Broncos 5-1 in Western Hockey League play Sunday.

Mike Winther, Anthony Bardaro and Chance Braid also scored for the Raiders (8-3-2), who had exploded with three unanswered goals in the second period.

Graham Black's power-play goal late in the first was the lone score for the Broncos (5-5-4).

Winther opened the scoring at 3:56 in the first before Black tied the game at 17:08.

From there it was all Prince Albert. Conroy scored both his goals in the second to book end Braid's goal, and Bardaro added one more in the third to cap the scoring.

Raiders goaltender Luke Siemens made 28 saves, while at the other end Eetu Laurikainen allowed four goals on 33 shots before Landon Bow took over and made 13 saves in the third.

Quote of the Day

You get the right the whistles at the right times, you can leave him out there. He's a beast when it comes to being on the ice. I thought [Saturday] he was a big man. That first period, he did that lateral cut and it was like three bowling pins bounced off him. There's not too many guys that can do that.
