Rieder scores twice as the Rangers beat the Sting 5-3

SARNIA, Ont. - Tobias Rieder scored two goals, including the game winner, as the Kitchener Rangers defeated the host Sarnia Sting 5-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Eric Ming, Ryan Murphy and Darcy Llewellyn also scored for the Rangers (5-4-1) while Ben Thomson chipped in with two assists.

Reid Boucher, Alex Galchenyuk and Nikolay Goldobin each scored for the Sting (5-6-1), who have now dropped three games in a row.

John Gibson made 26 saves for the win as Brodie Barrick stopped 26-of-30 shots in a losing cause.

Neither club could produce on the power play as Kitchener went 0-for-1 and Sarnia 0-for-3
