Matt Rupert scores winner as the Knights end the Colts 8-game winning streak

BARRIE, Ont. - Matt Rupert scored the shootout winner as the London Knights defeated the host Barrie Colts 3-2 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday night.

Kyle Platzer scored his first-career OHL goal for the Knights (6-3-1) and Josh Anderson scored the other for London.

Alex Broadhurst picked up an assist on each of his club's regulation-time goals.

Anthony Camara and Aaron Ekblad replied for the Colts (9-2-1), who saw their eight-game winning streak snapped.

Mark Scheifele added an assist to bring his league-leading point total to 20.

Jake Patterson, in his first start of the season for London, made 26 saves for the win as Barrie's Mathias Niederberger stopped 37 shots in a losing cause.

London went 1-for-3 on the power play while the Barrie finished 1-for-4.
