Rychel scores twice as the Spitfires edge the Otters 3-2

ERIE, Pa. - Kerby Rychel scored twice, including the game winner, as the Windsor Spitfires edged the host Erie Otters 3-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Derek Schoenmakers also scored for the Spitfires (6-4-3) while Chris Marchese and Josh Ho-Sang chipped in with two assists each.

Jimmy McDowell scored once for the Otters (3-7-2) and Connor McDavid extended his point streak to 10 games by scoring the other.

Forward Connor Brown earned an assist on each of his club's goals.

Jaroslav Pavelka only had to make 17 saves for the win as Devin Williams turned away 36-of-39 shots in defeat.

Windsor went 2-for-5 on the power play while Erie scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
