Messier and Tot score two apiece as the Americans double up the Pats 6-3

REGINA - Marcus Messier and Philip Tot each scored twice as the Tri-City Americans beat the host Regina Pats 6-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Malte Stromwall and Justin Feser also scored for the Americans (8-3-2), who have earned at least one point in nine straight outings, while Zachary Yuen chipped in with two assists.

Dyson Stevenson, Jack Rodewald and Trent Ouellette scored for the Pats (5-6-1).

Eric Comrie made 21 saves for the win as Matt Hewitt stopped 36-of-40 shots in a losing effort.

Tri-City went 0-for-6 on the power play while Regina went 1-for-5.
