SPOKANE, Wash. - Adam Helewka scored both of his club's goals, earning the game's first star, as the Spokane Chiefs edged the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds 2-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Brandon Troock scored the lone goal for the Seattle.
Chiefs' (7-3-0) goaltender Eric Williams stopped 14 shots for the win as the Thunderbirds' (5-4-0) Justin Myles stopped 34-of-36 shots in a losing effort.
Myles picked up the game's second star with his performance.
Spokane went 0-for-2 on the power play while Seattle scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
