Dougie Hamilton's goal in OT lifts IceDogs to 3-2 win over Battalion

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Dougie Hamilton scored in overtime to give the Niagara IceDogs a 3-2 win over the Brampton Battalion in Ontario Hockey League play Thursday.

Hamilton scored his fourth of the season 2:41 into OT to improve Niagara to 7-4-1.

Mitchell Theoret had one goal and two assists, while Ryan Strome had the other IceDogs goal.

Mathew Santos had both Brampton (3-4-4) goals in a span of 33 seconds midway through the second period.

Niagara goaltender Chris Festarini made 37 saves, while at the other end Matej Machovsky turned aside 23 shots.
