Chris Driedger makes 30 saves as Calgary Hitmen defeat Prince George Cougars

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Zane Jones scored twice and Chris Driedger made 30 saves Tuesday as the Calgary Hitmen shut out the Prince George Cougars 5-0 in the Western Hockey League.

Brady Brassart, Jaynen Rissling and Jake Virtanen had the other goals for Calgary (7-1-2).

Brooks Macek added four assists to extend his point scoring streak to 10 games tying a career high.

The Hitmen outshot the Cougars 53-30, breaking a franchise record in the process for most shots in a single period with 27 in the second.

Brett Zarowny started in goal for Prince George (5-4-1), allowing all five Calgary goals on 33 shots.

Mac Engel replaced Zarowny midway through the second period and stopped all 20 shots he faced the rest of the way.
