KENT, Wash. - Connor Sanvido scored his first two goals of the season Tuesday to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds over the Spokane Chiefs 6-4 in the Western Hockey League.

Luke Lockhart and Alexander Delnov both added two goals as Seattle (5-3-0) won its third in a row.

Lockhart, the Seattle captain, scored his second into an empty net with 1:20 left to ensure the win for the Thunderbirds.

Spokane had goals from Mitch Holmberg, his 10th of the season, Mikulas Rimmel, Adam Helewka and Reid Gow.

Spokane (6-3-0) outshot Seattle 32-23 in the game but the Thunderbirds got 28 saves from Brandon Glover in the victory.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
