QMJHL roster announced for next month's Super Series against Russian junior team

TORONTO - The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and the Halifax Mooseheads lead all Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams with four players apiece on the Team QMJHL roster for the 2012 Subway Super Series.

The Val-d'Or Foreurs were next with three players on the 25-man roster, released Tuesday by the Canadian Hockey League. Rouyn-Noranda Huskies coach Andre Tourigny will handle coaching duties for both Team QMJHL games against the Russian national junior team.

Game 1 is set for Nov. 5 in Boisbriand, Que., and Game 2 will be played Nov. 7 at Val-d'Or.

Team OHL and Team WHL will also play two games apiece against the Russians over the six-game series. The CHL has won the series in eight of the last nine years.

Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
