PLEASE NOTE – THERE IS A NO BAG POLICY AT THE STADIUM. ALL BAGS AND PURSES MUST BE CHECKED PRIOR TO ENTER THE STADIUM. Please plan on leaving bags and purses at home or locked in the trunk of your vehicle.
Main Routes (see also suggested alternative routes below) are as follows:
• If coming to Ann Arbor FROM THE EAST or WEST, take I-94 to:
o Exit 177 State Street and continue north toward the Stadium Area
o Exit 175 Ann Arbor Saline Road and continue north, continue straight onto S. Main Street
and head north toward the stadium area.
• If coming to Ann Arbor FROM THE NORTH, take US-23 Exit 37B – Washtenaw Avenue, and
head west. At the split continue straight onto Stadium Blvd and head west toward the
Stadium area.
During game days at Michigan Stadium, traffic analysis has indicated that Main Street, Ann Arbor-Saline Road, and State Street are consistently the most congested thoroughfares.
Suggested alternative routes are as follows:
• If coming to Ann Arbor FROM THE NORTH, try M-14 Exit 2 - Maple Road. Follow Maple Rd.
south as it merges with Stadium Blvd. and leads to the Stadium area
• If coming to Ann Arbor FROM THE WEST, utilize I-94 Exit 172 - Jackson Road. Take Jackson
Rd. to Stadium Blvd., turn right (south) and continue toward the Stadium area.
• If coming to Ann Arbor FROM THE EAST OR NORTHEAST, consider using US-23 Exit 41 -
Plymouth Road. Take Plymouth Rd. west to Huron Parkway to Geddes (south of the river)
then west to approach the Stadium area. Or, to park in areas east of State Street or along
South Industrial Highway, follow US-23 to Exit 37B - Washtenaw Avenue, and head west.
At the split continue straight onto Stadium Blvd and head west toward the Stadium area.
Parking options:
There are a number of parking options around Michigan Stadium all within a 20 minute walk.
Many of the lots adjacent to the stadium are reserved for permit holders only, but there are also numerous options for guests looking for day of game/cash sale parking.
Pioneer High School and Ann Arbor Golf (across from the Stadium at the south/west corner) will have the most amount of cast parking within close proximity to the stadium. Many local private businesses and residences allow fans to park on their property for a fee. Some locations will offer advance purchase sales.
The garages and meters in downtown Ann Arbor will be free of charge on the January 1st holiday.
