ERIE, Pa. - Dylan Smoskowitz scored twice, including the winner, and set up one more as the Mississauga Steelheads downed the host Erie Otters 4-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Smoskowitz picked up the game's first star and in five games this season he now has seven goals and 10 points.

Spenser Cobbold added a single goal to round out Mississauga's offence.

Connor Crisp had a goal and an assist for the Otters (2-5-2), who have dropped three straight contests, and Adam Pelech and Troy Donnay each scored once.

Mississauga's Tyson Teichmann stopped 21 shots, but had to leave the game midway through the third period after Pelech crashed into him. Spencer Martin picked up the win after stopping each of the five shots he faced in relief.

Oscar Dansk stopped 35 shots in a losing effort for Erie.

The Steelheads went 0-for-2 on the power play while the Otters were 0-for-3.

Quote of the Day
