LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Russell Maxwell scored twice on the power play as the Lethbridge Hurricanes downed the visiting Prince George Cougars 3-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Sam Mckechnie also scored for the Hurricanes (3-5-0) and Axel Blomqvist chipped in with two assists.
Brock Hirsche and Jari Erricson responded for the Cougars (5-2-1).
Ty Rimmer made 25 saves for the win as Brett Zarowny turned away 25-of-28 shots in a losing effort.
Lethbridge went 2-for-6 on the power play while Prince George scored once on six chances of its own with the man advantage.
Cougars' forward Caleb Belter was ejected in the first period after picking up a five-minute major for interference.
