Beyers scores shootout winner as the Colts down the Generals 4-3

OSHAWA, Ont. - Steven Beyers scored the winner in the fourth round of the shootout as the Barrie Colts edged the host Oshawa Generals 4-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Ryan O'Connor, Anthony Camara and Jonathan Laser scored in regulation for the Colts (6-2-0), while Laser picked up an assist for a two-point outing.

Scott Laughton led the Generals (6-1-1) offensively with a goal and two assists as Colin Suellentrop and Lucas Lessio scored a goal apiece.

Mathias Niederberger made 51 saves for the win while Daniel Altshuller stopped 39 at the other end for the Generals.

Barrie went 2-for-3 on the power play while Oshawa scored twice on six chances with the man advantage.
