SPOKANE, Wash. - Eric Williams stopped 27 shots and earned the game's first star as the Spokane Chiefs downed the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Todd Fiddler, Tanner Mort and Collin Valcourt each had a goal and an assist for the Chiefs (3-1-0) while Mitch Holmberg scored a single goal.

Jaimen Yakubowski scored once for the Hurricanes (2-3-0) and picked up an assist on Remi Laurencelle's goal.

Ty Rimmer turned away 39 shots and earned the game's second star in a losing effort.

Spokane went 2-for-4 on the power play while Lethbridge failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
