ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Chris Festarini made 31 saves Thursday as the Niagara IceDogs downed the Mississauga Steelheads 3-2 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Broderick Kelly's point shot 1:10 into the third period beat Tyson Teichmann for what proved to be the game-winner. Dougie Hamilton and Mike Robinson had the other IceDogs goals.
Dylan Smoskowitz and Riley Brace on the power play for the Steelheads.
Teichmann made 32 stops in the loss as Mississauga fell to 2-3-0 on the young season.
Niagara improved to 4-1-0 with the victory.
The Steelheads went 0-for 4 with the man-advantage, while the IceDogs were 0-for-2.
Mississauga acquired goaltender Clint Windsor from Windsor in a trade earlier in the day. He dressed as Teichmann's backup.
