EVERETT, Wash. - Eric Comrie turned aside all 35 shots he faced to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 2-0 victory over the host Everett Silvertips on Wednesday night in Western Hockey League action.

The 17-year-old Comrie faced all kinds of pressure, particularly in the third period when Everett produced 18 shots.

Malte Stromwall and Jordan Messier scored for the Americans (2-3-0), who have earned both their victories this season against Everett.

Austin Lotz stopped 20 shots in a losing effort (1-3-1).

Tri-City went 1-for-2 on the power play while Everett failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.

Everett has been shutout in two of their five games this season.

It's hard to walk into that locker room and look those guys in the eye when they've played -- clearly, that was our best game we've played in the series -- and I thought we deserved a better fate tonight.
