Bergeron agrees to contract with Swiss club
Patrice Bergeron has agreed to a contract with HC Lugano in National League A, the Swiss club reported Tuesday on its website.

Patrice Bergeron has agreed to a contract with HC Lugano in National League A, the Swiss club reported Tuesday on its website.

Bergeron had 22 goals and 64 points for the Boston Bruins in 81 games during the 2011-12 season. The 27-year-old center was the 45th pick in the 2003 NHL Draft by Boston.

He has 143 goals and 401 points in 537 career games. Bergeron has also won gold medals in the World Junior Championship, World Championship and the 2010 Winter Olympics while representing Canada.
