Rakell and Wilson each score twice as the Whalers down the Wolves 6-2

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Rickard Rakell scored two goals and set up one more as the Plymouth Whalers defeated the visiting Sudbury Wolves 6-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Tom Wilson also scored twice for the Whalers (1-0-2) as Matt Mistele and Cody Payne each scored once.

Gianluca Curcuruto chipped in with three assists for Plymouth.

Justin Sefton and Samuel Schutt scored for the Wolves (2-2-0).

Plymouth's Matt Mahalak stopped 27 shots for the win.

Joel Vienneau started in goal for Sudbury and allowed three goals on 17 shots before Taylor Dupuis took over midway through the second period. Dupuis stopped 12-of-15 shots in relief.

The Whalers went 1-for-5 on the power play while the Wolves scored once on eight chances with the man advantage.
