Biggs, Dal Colle score their first OHL goals as the Generals down the Petes 5-1

OSHAWA, Ont. - Tyler Biggs and Michael Dal Colle both scored their first Ontario Hockey League goals as the Oshawa Generals downed the visiting Peterborough Petes 5-1 on Friday in OHL action.

Biggs, a first-round draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs who played NCAA hockey last season, scored off a nice feed from Oshawa captain Boone Jenner early in the second period.

Jenner also earned an assist on Dal Colle's goal, which was an easy backhand off a rebound.

Scott Laughton and Geoffrey Schemitsch each had a goal and an assist for the Generals (2-1-0), while Lucas Lessio added a single goal.

Francis Menard had the lone goal for the Petes (2-2-0) and it came late in the first period on a five-on-three man advantage.

The Generals dominated the Petes, outshooting them 47-23, and have now won nine of the last 10 head-to-head meetings dating back to last season.

Daniel Altshuller earned the win in goal for Oshawa while Michael Giugovaz took the loss.

Oshawa went 2 for 6 on the power play while Peterborough scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
