Evander Kane to play in Russia

Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane has signed to play with Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Kane, the fourth player taken in the 2009 NHL Draft, is coming off his best NHL season with 30 goals and 57 points for the Jets in 2011-12. In 213 career NHL games, he has 63 goals and 126 points.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
