Carolina Hurricanes forward Alexander Semin on Tuesday signed with Sokol Krasnoyarsk, a Russian minor-league team that is located near where he grew up.

Carolina Hurricanes forward Alexander Semin on Tuesday signed with Sokol Krasnoyarsk, a Russian minor-league team that is located near where he grew up.

Semin, who signed with the Hurricanes in July, had 21 goals and 54 points in 77 regular-season games last season with the Washington Capitals. He added three goals and an assist in 14 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
