EVERETT, Wash. - The Prince George Cougars rallied from a three-goal, third-period deficit and went on to defeat the Everett Silvertips 7-6 in a shootout on Sunday night in Western Hockey League action.

Everett led 6-3 with 12 minutes remaining in regulation, thanks in large part to two goals and two assists from Landon Oslanski.

But Prince George got one back when Alex Forsberg scored on a three-on-one then Marc McNulty and Caleb Belter scored 25 seconds apart late in the third to tie it.

The Cougars won a seven-round shootout 4-3.

Daulton Siwak added two goals and Daniel Gibb also scored for Prince George (2-0-0), which swept a weekend doubleheader against the Silvertips.

Brett Zarowny earned the win in goal with 33 saves.

Josh Winquist also scored twice for Everett (0-1-1), while Kohl Bauml and Ryan Murray added goals for a Silvertips team that was shut out 6-0 the previous night. Cole Holowenko stopped 32 shots in net for Everett.

It means a lot to us, we're very excited. We're looking to continue to build on [our] top core talent of young players. It's just a great opportunity for us to really build high.
