Griffith and Matt Rupert two goals each as the Knights down the Storm 8-2

GUELPH, Ont. - Seth Griffith scored twice and setup one more as the London Knights crushed the host Guelph Storm 8-2 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.

Matt Rupert also scored two goals for the Knights (2-0-0) while Tommy Hughes, Alex Broadhurst and Brett Welychka had a goal and an assist each.

Ryan Rupert had four assists and Max Domi and Josh Anderson picked up two apiece.

Remi Elie rounded out London's scoring with a single goal.

Matt Finn and Jason Dickinson scored for the Storm (1-1-0), who after the first period were leading 2-1 before giving up seven straight goals.

Kevin Bailie stopped 28 shots for the victory as Garret Sparks allowed eight goals on 40 shots against.

London went 2 for 6 on the power play while Guelph scored once on eight chances with the man advantage.
