Pacioretty signs with Swiss club
Montreal Canadiens' Max Pacioretty signs with Swiss club Ambri-Piotta.

Montreal Canadiens left wing Max Pacioretty signed Monday with Ambri-Piotta in Switzerland.

Pacioretty, 23, led the Canadiens last season with 65 points and was second with 33 goals. He also won the 2012 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for his comeback from a broken vertebra in his neck and a concussion in March 2011.

Quote of the Day

He's only 17 but he can see the ice so well and he moves the puck and goes to the open ice all the time, so I just think he's a player that is ready to play in the NHL. I'm really looking forward to coaching someone like this.

— U.S. National Junior Team coach Ron Wilson on Auston Matthews, the projected No. 1 pick of the 2016 NHL Draft
