Jones scores twice to lead the Hitmen over the Ice 5-1

CALGARY - Zane Jones scored twice to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-1 win over the Kootenay Ice in Western Hockey League action on Friday.

Darian Henry scored his first WHL goal to go along with two assists for the Hitmen (2-0-0) and Brooks Macek and Cody Sylvester added a goal and an assist each.

Luke Philp scored the lone goal of the game for the Ice (0-2-0).

Chris Driedger stopped 27-of-28 shots for the win as Mackenzie Skapski made 26 saves in a losing effort.

Calgary went 0 for 3 on the power play while Kootenay failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
