OTTAWA - Michael Giugovaz stopped 39 shots as the Peterborough Petes defeated the host Ottawa 67's 4-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Zach Lorentz had a goal and an assist for the Petes (2-0-0), who broke out to a 3-0 lead less than six minutes into the contest, while Clark Seymour, Nick Ritchie and Francis Menard scored a goal apiece.
Taylor Fielding, Codi Ceci and Ryan Van Stralen scored for the 67's (0-2-0) and Jake Cardwell chipped in with two assists.
Keegan Wilson made 23 saves in defeat.
Peterborough failed to score on four chances with the power play while Ottawa went 1 for 4.
