OTTAWA - Michael Giugovaz stopped 39 shots as the Peterborough Petes defeated the host Ottawa 67's 4-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Zach Lorentz had a goal and an assist for the Petes (2-0-0), who broke out to a 3-0 lead less than six minutes into the contest, while Clark Seymour, Nick Ritchie and Francis Menard scored a goal apiece.
Taylor Fielding, Codi Ceci and Ryan Van Stralen scored for the 67's (0-2-0) and Jake Cardwell chipped in with two assists.
Life's about opportunity and how you respond to that opportunity, and obviously he must have some swagger about him, some confidence about him, because he was solid. He made some good saves. He was 6-foot-3 on every shot, which is a good thing for a goalie. He played well. We got a win.
