Dallas Stars forward Jaromir Jagr and Montreal Canadiens forward Tomas Plekanec have signed with HC Kladno of the Czech Extraliga for the duration of the work stoppage.

Jagr, who was born in Kladno, is the club's owner; his father serves as the general manager.

Jagr signed a one-year contract with the Stars in July and enters the season as the leading scorer among active NHL players. His 1,653 points are eighth on the all-time list.

Plekanec had 17 goals and 35 assists in 81 games with the Canadiens last season. He was born in Kladno and played with HC Kladno for parts of three seasons before coming to North America in 2002.
