Kings sign MacDermid to entry-level deal
The Los Angeles Kings signed defenseman Kurtis MacDermid to a three-year, entry-level contract, the club announced Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Kings signed defenseman Kurtis MacDermid to a three-year, entry-level contract, the club announced Wednesday.

MacDermid, 18, played last season with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League. In nine games, he had two assists and seven penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-3, 186-pound native of Sauble Beach, Ontario, also played with the Owen Sound Greys of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, with nine points (three goals, six assists) and 80 penalty minutes in 20 games.

MacDermid participated at the Kings' Development Camp in July.
