USA Hockey on Wednesday announced the division of players that will comprise the inaugural CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game on Sept. 29 at First Niagara Center in Buffalo.

Currently, seven of the 40 participating players in the game are listed on NHL Central Scouting's "A List" for the 2013 NHL Draft in Newark, N.J. That group, deemed worthy of first-round consideration, includes defensemen Mike Downing of the USHL's Dubuque Fighting Saints, Seth Jones of the WHL's Portland Winterhawks and Ian McCoshen of the USHL's Waterloo Black Hawks and forwards J.T. Compher of the USHL's National Team Development Program, Ryan Hartman of the OHL's Plymouth Whalers and Luke Johnson and Ross Olsson of the USHL's Lincoln Stars.

Former Buffalo Sabres defenseman Phil Housley and forward Rob McClanahan will each coach a team in the event. Team Housley will wear blue uniforms and Team McClanahan will wear white jerseys.

Quote of the Day

You don't see many. The [Drew] Doughtys, the [P.K.] Subbans, those are guys that create offense from the back and then on top of that ability, the size that he has. In the West you play against some pretty big players, and being able to clear the crease and contain the [Ryan] Getzlafs and the [Corey] Perrys and [Anze] Kopitars and players like that, we're excited about him going back there.
