LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Nick Buonassisi was traded to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Sunday from the Lethbridge Hurricanes for a fifth round draft pick in 2014.

The 20-year-old overage forward scored 14 goals and added 31 assists in 59 games with Lethbridge last season. Buonassisi also had 62 penalty minutes and was a minus-9.

The Hurricanes acquired Buonassisi last October from the Prince George Cougars in exchange for defenceman Reid Jackson.

I've been getting frustrated lately, and the only thing keeping me sane was the team winning and other people stepping up and scoring. Then you just kind of let it go and realize you can end the series with one shot, that frustration goes away for a brief moment, and that's what happened.
