Devils sign former Senators forward Bobby Butler to 2-way contract

NEWARK, N.J. - The New Jersey Devils signed forward Bobby Butler to a two-way contract Thursday. Details of the deal weren't disclosed.

The former New Hampshire player had six goals and 10 assists in 56 regular-season games for Ottawa last season. In two seasons with the Senators, he had 16 goals and 21 assists in 94 games.

In four seasons at New Hampshire, he had 61 goals and 60 assists in 153 games.

Quote of the Day

He's, believe it or not, actually one of my favorite guys, and I've ended up trading him twice. I appreciate what he's done. He was one year away from being an unrestricted free agent, and I felt with this opportunity, that it was a chance that we were able to get somebody for him in Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening.
