RALEIGH, États-Unis - L'attaquant Jeff Skinner serait sur le point de signer une prolongation de contrat de six saisons et 34,35 millions $ US avec les Hurricanes de la Caroline, selon ce qu'a rapporté le réseau TSN.
Le directeur général des Hurricanes Jim Rutherford a confirmé via son compte Twitter que le club était près d'une entente avec Skinner.
Skinner écoulera la dernière année de son contrat de recrue la saison prochaine. Récipiendaire du trophée Calder en 2010-2011, Skinner a inscrit 20 buts et 24 aides en 64 matchs la saison dernière.
