DÉTROIT - Les Red Wings de Detroit ont accordé un contrat de 7,55 M $ pour deux ans au défenseur Kyle Quincey, mercredi.
Les Wings ont repêché Quincey 132e en 2003. Après des passages à Los Angeles et au Colorado, l'équipe du Michigan l'a acquis à nouveau dans un échange à trois clubs, en février dernier. Il a fourni deux buts et une passe en 18 matches avec les Wings, après avoir récolté cinq buts et 23 points en 54 matches avec l'Avalanche.
Lidstrom a pris sa retraite et Stuart a été échangé à San Jose; on ne voulait pas perdre ce dernier comme joueur autonome, sans rien obtenir en retour.
