SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - The San Jose Sharks have re-signed forwards T.J. Galiardi, John McCarthy and Frazer McLaren and signed former Florida forward Jonathan Matsumoto.

The deals announced Thursday include one-year contracts for Galiardi, McLaren and Matsumoto. McCarthy's deal is for two years.

Galiardi played 69 games for Colorado and San Jose last season, racking up 15 points. He also finished the regular season second on the Sharks with 110 hits to go with 53 total penalty minutes.

McCarthy has four points in 51 career games for San Jose. McLaren has six points in 39 career NHL games. And Matsumoto appeared in one game for the Panthers this season after being acquired from Carolina on Jan. 18 for A.J. Jenks.

Quote of the Day

Philadelphia is where I started my NHL career and this is where I want to be so I am really happy. This definitely gives me a lot of confidence by the Flyers showing that they have confidence in me. I know they want to see me get better as a player and this is the place to do it.

— Zac Rinaldo to the Flyers website on signing a two-year contract extension with Philadelphia
