Oilers re-sign Dubnyk, Petry, add Byers

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - The Edmonton Oilers re-signed restricted free-agent goalie Devan Dubnyk and defenseman Jeff Petry to two-year deals Thursday, and agreed to a one-year deal with left winger Dane Byers.

Dubnyk won 20 games in 47 appearances for the Oilers last season. The 6-foot-5goalie had a 2.67 goals-against average and .914 save percentage.

Petry had two goals and 23 assists in 73 games for Edmonton last season.

Byers spent last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets and their main affiliate, the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. He had 29 penalty minutes in eight games with the Blue Jackets, and 16 goals, 23 assists and 108 penalty minutes in 61 games for Springfield.
