Giroux, Rinne square off for EA NHL 13 cover
Flyers' Claude Giroux meets Predators' Pekka Rinne in EA SPORTS NHL 13 Cover Vote Finals.

The final showdown for the cover of EA Sports NHL 13 video game will come down to Philadelphia Flyers center Claude Giroux and Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne.

More than 23 million votes have been cast -- far surpassing the 19.7 million that voted on the Madden NFL 13 video game -- including nearly 4 million in the five-day voting period for the semifinals. In the tightest voting yet, Giroux narrowly edged the Pittsburgh Penguins' Evgeni Malkin, while Rinne finished just ahead of the New York Islanders' John Tavares.

Voting for the championship round runs until 11:59 p.m. ET on June 4. The cover athlete will be unveiled June 20 at the 2012 NHL Awards.
