The Stanley Cup Final series between the New Jersey Devils and the Los Angeles Kings officially kicks off Tuesday afternoon with the 2012 Stanley Cup Final, Pre-Series Media Day at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Both teams will be on hand Tuesday for a final practice before Game 1 on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC, RDS) and the NHL Network and NHL.com have all the action covered.
The NHL Network will have a three-hour live show Tuesday from 1-4 p.m. ET, covering the media availability of both teams. The coverage will be anchored by Kathryn Tappen, Barry Melrose, Doug Weight, Darren Pang, Kevin Weekes and E.J. Hradek. Correspondent Joe Micheletti will cover the practice session of the New Jersey Devils, which begins at 11 a.m. Steve Mears, meanwhile, will cover the practice session of the Kings, which begins at 12 p.m.
The NHL Network coverage also will be streamed live on NHL.com.
NHL.com will have additional enhanced live coverage, including three streams of prominent players, coaches and team officials from both teams as they speak from dedicated podium positions. There will also be extensive video on demand from the media availability on Tuesday.
NHL.com's writers will also chronicle all of Tuesday's happenings through features, news stories and blog entries. Additionally, there will be a Media Day blog populated with news exclusive to the start of the Stanley Cup Final.
