Evgeny Kuznetsov, perhaps the Washington Capitals' top prospect, has decided to stay in Russia for two more years, according to reports.
Several Russian outlets have reported that Kuznetsov, 20, will remain with his Russian club team, Traktor Chelyabiunsk for the next two seasons.
There was much speculation that Kuznetsov would leave Russia this summer and join the Capitals organization for the 2012-13 season.
According to a report in the Washington Times, a Caps spokesman said the organization has no comment at this time.
Kuznetsov was the Caps' first-round pick in 2010 and is considered the top prospect in the world by The Hockey News.
