Point scores in OT as Warriors sweep Tigers, advance to WHL East final

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Brayden Point scored a power-play goal in overtime as the Moose Jaw Warriors finished a second-round sweep of the Medicine Hat Tigers with a 4-3 win Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

The Warriors will play the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL Eastern Conference final. Game 1 is April 20 in Edmonton.

Moose Jaw's Sam Fioretti sent the game to overtime when he scored 15:51 in the third period. James Henry and Kenton Miller also scored for the Warriors.

James Bettauer scored twice and Boston Leier also had a goal for Medicine Hat, which led 3-1 after the first period before Moose Jaw came back.

Tyler Bunz was excellent in a losing cause for the Tigers, making 43 saves.

Luke Siemens stopped 28 shots for the Warriors.
