Habs legend Beliveau released from hospital
NHL legend Jean Beliveau was released from a Montreal-area hospital Friday, a Montreal Canadiens spokesman told the Canadian Press.

Beliveau suffered his second stroke in as many years Feb. 27. He left the hospital and went to a rehabilitation center, and the team spokesman said his condition is improving.

The 80-year-old Beliveau is one of the most popular players in the history of the storied Montreal franchise. He had 507 goals and 1,219 points in his career, and he won the Stanley Cup 10 times as a member of the Canadiens.

Beliveau also won the Cup seven more times as an executive with Montreal. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972.
