Thursday, 03.22.2012 / 12:12 AM / NHL Network

The NHL Network will be on hand Thursday night in Pittsburgh when the Nashville Predators try to cool off the NHL's hottest team.

The Penguins are on a 12-0-1 run that has carried them within three points of first place in the Eastern Conference as the Predators come to Consol Energy Center for one of eight games on the schedule. Pittsburgh kept rolling on Tuesday by blitzing Winnipeg 8-4, while the Predators were upset 6-3 at home by the Edmonton Oilers.

U.S. viewers can see the game on the NHL Network, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Also at 7, the Washington Capitals will try to hold onto eighth place in the East when they visit Philadelphia. The Flyers are fifth in the East and coming off a 2-1 home loss to Florida on Tuesday.

Both Alberta teams are on the road. At 7:30 p.m. ET, the Edmonton Oilers visit Tampa Bay; a half-hour later, Calgary is at Minnesota.

The Pacific Division-leading Dallas Stars will try to stay in first place when they host the Vancouver Canucks at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Stars kept first place on Tuesday night with a 4-3 shootout win against Phoenix.

The Coyotes are home at 10 p.m. ET to host Colorado, which jumped into seventh place in the West on Tuesday by beating Colorado 2-1 in overtime.

Two more games begin at 10:30 p.m. St. Louis continues its seven-game road trip with a visit to Los Angeles, while Boston starts a three-game swing through California with a rare visit to San Jose.
