HBO's "24/7 Flyers/Rangers: Road to the NHL Winter Classic" and NBC's hockey coverage combined for 10 Sports Emmy Award nominations Tuesday.

The HBO four-part documentary received six nominations, while NBC received four. The 10 NHL-related nominations are five more than last year and two more than two years ago.

"24/7" will have a chance to win the following categories: Outstanding Editing; Outstanding Camera Work; Outstanding Post Produced Audio/Sound; the Dick Schaap Writing Award; Outstanding Open/Tease; and Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement, Episodic, for The Ultimate Rivalry.

NBC was nominated for Outstanding Live Sports Special (2011 Stanley Cup Final); Outstanding Sports Personality, Play-By-Play (Mike Emrick); Outstanding Sports Personality, Sports Reporter (Pierre McGuire); and Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement, Episodic (2011 Stanley Cup Final: No Words).
