Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson, currently riding a four-game winning streak, suffered a hand injury at his home and is out indefinitely.

The Senators say Anderson accidentally cut his right hand while preparing a meal. He was treated at the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Anderson is 29-19-6 with a goals-against-average of 2.85 in 56 games this season. But he's a perfect 4-0-0 in Ottawa's last four games, allowing only four goals and posting a save percentage of .970. He made 32 saves in Ottawa's 5-2 win against Washington on Wednesday.

Alex Auld has been Anderson's backup this season, but it just 2-3-2 with a save percentage of .883. The Ottawa Sun says the Senators will recall Robin Lehner from their AHL farm team in Binghamton while Anderson is sidelined.

The Senators are off until Saturday, when Boston comes to Scotiabank Place.
