Wild's Peters suspended for one game
Wild forward Warren Peters has been suspended for one game, without pay, for cross-checking St. Louis Blues forward David Backes.


Minnesota Wild forward Warren Peters has been suspended for one game, without pay, for cross-checking St. Louis Blues forward David Backes during NHL Game #867 in St. Louis on Saturday, Feb. 18, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Peters will forfeit $2,905.41. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund. 

The incident occurred at 16:30 of the third period. Peters was assessed a major penalty for cross-checking and a game misconduct.
